Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need an appointment?
    Yes, we require appointments for bridal. You can make one by calling us or if you want to book a bridal experience online simply click our BOOK ONLINE button at the top of the page.
  • How long is an appointment?
    A standard Bridal Appointment is 90 minutes.
  • What is the price range of your dresses?
    We have a beautiful selection of Off the Rack dresses that have been discounted and range between $500- $900. Our current sample bridal dresses range between $1100- $2300.
  • How many people may I bring with me?
    Our boutique has seating for up to 5 guests in your party. We find bringing along a few of your closest loved ones keeps the experience special and focused on you. We have a private room for bridal fittings so if you are hoping to bring a larger party with you, please let us know in advance. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. We love children but our private dressing room is for adults. We schedule your flower girl fittings separately.
  • What should I bring to my appointment?
    We recommend wearing nude undergarments and deodorant. If you have any pictures or ideas of the dress you are looking for please bring them. Also, if you have certain shoes or accessories that you know you're going to be wearing on your wedding day, please bring those along so you can get the complete idea of how beautiful they will be with your dress.
  • What sizes are your sample dresses?
    We have sample dresses from size 4 - 26. Our aim is for brides of all shapes and sizes to find their dress and feel more beautiful than ever. We are continually adding a range of sample sizes to our dress collection. (Check out our loaner dress option: for a fee we can possibly order in a sample dress for you to try on.)
  • What sample sizes do you have for bridesmaids?
    We have a full range of sizes in bridesmaid dresses - ranging from size 2 to 24
  • Do you provide alteration services?
    No, we do not have an in-house seamstress however we provide a list of recommended seamstresses who can provide all your alteration needs. We are here to answer any of your questions. Please note: alterations are an additional cost.
  • How long does it take for a dress to come in? When should I order my dress?
    Typically, it takes between 6 months to order and receive a wedding dress, while there might be some deviation it is best to allow 6 to 8 months. We always recommend giving yourself extra time as we recommend 1-3 months for any alterations being made. Our designers have a production time of 4-6 months, ordering earlier rather than later allows for production, shipping, and alterations. Rush orders can often be accommodated, though rush fees do apply. If you find yourself short on time, we do have a beautiful collection of Off the Rack dresses that you can take home same day. Bridesmaid dresses and flower girl dresses take from 3 - 4 months.
  • Mimi’s is a full service boutique!
    Along with our large variety of bridal gowns, we offer a great selection of men's formal wear for rent or purchase, prom/homecoming/ and formal dresses, bridesmaids dresses, Mother of the Bride dresses, and more!
  • Are food and beverages allowed in appointments?
    We do offer Bridal Experiences that provide champagne, sparking cider, treats, and snacks for your convenience and pampering. If you are wanting to bring your own food and beverage to your appointment, please call us beforehand. Thank you!
  • What Different Bridal Experiences do you Offer?
    As a way to pamper and treat yourself on this special day, we offer 3 different upgrades to our standard appointment. They include champagne, sweet treats, snacks and more depending on the Experience. You can find all the information to each one on our website tab, "Bridal Experiences." We do request that you give us at least a week notice if you'd like to upgrade.
  • What to expect?
    First, you will meet with your personal consultant who will work with you throughout your consultation. We will go over all the important details of your big day and the dress that you envision, and any wedding dress inspiration you have saved. If you have booked an upgraded Bridal Experience, your champagne and treats will be ready for you . Next are the gowns. Your consultant will go over more of what you're looking for in your perfect dress. They will pick 5 dresses for you to try on that will help narrow down design and silhouette. If you see a dress that catches your attention during this process, let us know and we will pull it and add it to the collection. If we need a couple more after the initial gowns, we will pull a couple more. Understandably, gown selection can seem overwhelming, which is why we ask that your guests sit, relax, and enjoy the process, while your consultant guides you in your choosing and narrowing of your selection. This makes the process much easier and less time consuming. When you have your top favorite dresses, we bring out the veils! This is the moment we also make sure that the tissues are nearby. Not wearing a veil? No problem! That makes your appointment that much easier. Finally, saying Yes to the Dress! Once you say "Yes!" we let you and your guests take photos and soak in the moment. Afterwards, we will take measurements and confirm details. A 50% deposit is required to finalize the transaction and place the order of the dress. When the dress comes in, we call you to come in and try it on! Once the dress is paid in full, she is yours to take home, have altered, and have your dreams come true!
